Difference of Request Event & Request Amendment
>> Schedule (Employee View)
One of the perks of having a system with timekeeping is you can request for a new event aside from your standard schedule and you can also request to change a past event at the same time; all with ease!
Now, what is Request Event and Amendment Request? What is the difference between the two?
REQUEST NEW EVENT
You can use this feature when you want to request for a new event or activity that was not initially scheduled for the day.
For example, you have a standard schedule of 09:00 to 18:00 and you rendered an hour of overtime from 1800 to 1900. For this to be added to your schedule, you should request a new event for that overtime.
To Request a New Event in the Web app:
Schedule > Request Event
Fill out the required fields such as:
- Date – date from when you perform such event or activity
- Activity – select the activity that was not initially scheduled for you
- Branch – choose your branch
- Holiday type – select the type of holiday for correct payroll calculation, if applicable
- Scheduled time – the time duration of the activity
- Actual times – the actual time duration of the activity when performed
- Description – put here the reason for your request
And... success! Your request is now submitted to your Event Approver for their approval.
REQUEST AMENDMENT
You can use this Request Amendment function when there is a need to change from your past event/s. Keep in mind, this feature is for when you must amend or change the schedule that was set for you to correct them.
For example, you have a schedule of 0900 to 1800 and you clocked in only. At the end of the day, you realized that you forgot to clock out.
For you to not mark as absent, you can request for an amendment to correct it.
Other examples for you to use this feature is when you need to change working time, branch, etc.
To Request for an Amendment in the Web app:
Schedule > Select schedule
Filled in the required information. In this case, the only field that we need to fill out is the actual times.
And… success! Your request is now submitted to your Event Approver for their approval.
Note: Please make sure you input the correct details before submitting because you cannot cancel such request and you must contact your Event Approver to decline or reject it to not take effect and re-submit request. This is to maximize the time of the both of you.
