Performance | Assessments - Creating an Assessment Cycle

Assessments are a set of standardized questions for employee self-assessment and manager assessment. Standardized questions are designed to provide consistent metrics that can be analyzed across the entire company or against specific groups.
Here is how you can create your first Assessment Cycle!
ADD A NEW ASSESSMENT CYCLE
Click on <NEW CYCLE> to add a new assessment cycle
Cycle Details
- Cycle Name - choose a name that best reflects the type of assessment, group of employees being assessed or the cycle frequency.
- Open Date - start date of the assessment cycle
- Close Date - expected date of assessment cycle completion
- Status - select "Open" if you wish employees to access immediately, "Closed" if you want to activate later
Cycle Assignment
- Profile Type - you may select to assign by either Employment Type, Position, Branch, Group or Subsidiary
- Group Selection - choose the Profile Types that will be assigned
- Reviewer - select between:
- Direct Manager - click to make the employee's manager their assessment Reviewer
- Designated Reviewer - assign a specific person to review all assessments of the group
Note: You can add multiple group selections in a specific assessment cycle.
Self & Manager Assessment Question
Create your standard questions for both Employee Self-Assessment and Manager Assessments. Make questions that are relevant to all employees in the company, with responses that are easily measurable.
- Activate Self-Assessment / Manager Assessment - tick activate self-assessment & manager-assessment if you want responses from both employee and manager.
Note: If activated for Manager-assessment, make sure you input an assessment question on the manager's tab. - Add Question - click to add assessment questions
- Selection type – choose between:
- Single - only 1 answer will be accepted
- Multiple - multiple answers will be accepted
- Description - input your question description here
- Weight - questions are weighted to determine an average score
Note: Weight should equal to 100% when adding all question's weight - Options – add an option or answer here (rating scale). You can add up to 5 options only.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The order of responses should be from the most positive to the most negative response, as it will impact the numerical scoring of the assessment.

Once done adding questions, you may now click CREATE/SAVE.
Note: A success or error notification will appear on your screen once you submit the assessment cycle. If an error notice appears, kindly check the assessment to see what causes the error.
