What to do when you want to terminate an Employee?
Terminating employees in ZipHR can be done by
- Going to employee's profile page
- Hover your mouse cursor over their name
- A summary of their employment info will appear and a deactivate button
- Click <DEACTIVATE> to terminate employee
Note that by deactivating the employee's profile, all data will remain in the app unless employee's profile is deleted. If employee rejoin the company, you may just select <ACTIVATE>.
TERMINATION PAGE
Once deactivated, you will be directed to Terminate tab. This page is where you can determine the termination pay, current assets, and re-assign authority if the employee have manager or approver roles.
Termination Pay
Termination payments are automated and can be customized
- Select the termination payroll batch, reason for termination, and termination date to load payments
- Once payment is confirmed, termination date will be automatically set in employee info and payments will be included to specified payslip

Assets
Record of all historical asset details that were given to employees. This section will allow you to be reminded on return of assets upon employee departure
Successions & Authority
All managerial or approver roles that exist for the employee must first be assigned to another employee to successfully terminate employee.
- Check Roles - first load all roles that need to be assigned
- Assign to - assign to other employees who have sufficient Manager/Approver rights
- Assign - roles will automatically be transferred to assignees
