Performance | Goals - Creating a Goal Cycle
>> Performance Dashboard > Goals > New Cycle
Goal Cycles track the periodic progress towards achieving target objectives.
Such cycles can be used to track, for example:
- Time-based, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual reviews
- Project-based, all the targets needed to complete a project
- Corporate, such as meeting certain budget revenue or cost targets
- Personal, such as training or self-improvement
GOAL CYCLE STRUCTURE
Before we create a goal cycle, you may want to know how the ZipHR goal cycle works. Goals are generally structured as follows:
- Goal - the overall objective to achieve
- My Goals - list of key goal objectives to achieve under the overall objective
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - KPIs are created under each MY GOALS to define exactly what it takes to get the goal done
- KPI Weighting & Progress - each KPI must be assigned a weight to represent its contribution to achieving the goal. KPIs weight under a specific My Goals should total to 100%.
% Progress is also available per KPI to indicate the progress made by the employee periodically
